Ethan Gelber, travel editor of Green Matters, has patrolled all corners of the travel industry as a specialist in responsible, sustainable, and family travel.
His professional accomplishments include working as the founding editorial director of the Family Travel Association, a co-founder of Outbounding, and Chief Communications Officer of the WHL Group, at the time the largest local-travel company in the world. His written work, including as a Lonely Planet writer, AFAR Ambassador, and Huffington Post blogger, has appeared in dozens of print and digital outlets.
Ethan is on the board of Travel Unity, a co-organizer of the New York Travel Festival, editor of The Travel Word, and works with the Impact Travel Alliance and Green Travel Media.
He has a BA from Yale University and MIA (Master of International Affairs) from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Ethan is based in New York City, a city he returned to in the fall of 2017, after a year of world travel with his wife and two young sons.
