Recycle Your Water Filters

Two years ago there was only one water filter manufacturer taking back spent filters from customers and recycling them–Global Environmental Technologies, Inc., manufacturer of TerraFlo®. Well, now Brita pitcher filters are recyclable at participating locations or by sending the filters directly to Preserve, a consumer products company who recycles the filters for use in their line of products, including tableware, food storage containers, cutting boards, colanders and mixing bowls. This is very good news at a time when more and more people are giving up bottled water, and filtering tap water at home.

When you recycle your filters, remember to complete the recycling of your spent cartridges by purchasing Preserve products you might be in need of–and suggest them to all your friends!
