There are four ways to advertise on greenmatters.com. Choose which type of ad you are interested in from the list below.
Advertising for Free Giveaway Trade

To purchase a banner ad follow these steps:
1. Go to the homepage, and from there click on the banner size you are interested in.
2. Click on the new window tab that opens.
3. Fill out the form and submit it for approval.
4. If approved, you’ll receive an email with a link to PayPal to complete the purchase.
Cost: $100/year
If there is a tip or blog post on Greenmatters.com that has particular relevance to your product or service, we will consider a text link within that tip or blog post. Submit your proposed text link as you wish it to be inserted into our content. For example, if you install solar water heating systems, you might propose that “solar water heating systems” in the following excerpt link to your website:
“Solar water heating systems work by using the sun’s energy to heat fluid in solar panels, then transferring the heat (thermal energy) from the panel to a storage cylinder.” [Content from http://www.greenmatters.com/green-tips/heating-and-cooling/]
To inquire about purchasing a Content-Related Text Link, follow these steps.
1. Browse the website for relevant content.
2. Cut and paste the relevant content and indicate with word or phrase within that content you would like to link from. If you don’t find relevant content in which to link from, you may submit new content for our review, but to be approved, it must match our content in form and tone. We reserve the right to edit or turn down any content or link that doesn’t conform to our strict guidelines.
3. Using the contact page form, send your proposed text link to us exactly as you wish it to appear within our content or the content that you are proposing.
4. If your text link is approved, your ad will go live and you will be sent a PayPal-generated invoice, payable upon receipt.
Within the Green Tips directory there are 30 advertising categories within the right margins for placing targeted text links.
Cost: $25 for a 6 months.
To purchase a targeted margin text link, follow these steps:
1. Go to http://www.greenmatters.com/green-tips/
2. Navigate to the page of interest and choose an applicable category for your product, service, or informational website from the sidebar.
3. Click on “Add You Link Here”.
4. Click on the new window tab that opens.
5. Fill out the form and submit it for approval.
6. If approved, you’ll receive an email with a link to PayPal to complete the purchase.
ADVERTSING FOR FREE GIVEAWAY TRADE
If you have a new product you’d like to promote on Greenmatters.com, we will consider a trade for a free giveway of your product to one of our readers.
How it works:
- Submit a detailed description of your product for our review.
- If/once approved, create a 125 x 240 pixel banner picturing and describing the product and incorporate the following text into the ad “Win a free [________! To enter, subscribe to the Green Matters blog [LINK TO http://www.greenmatters.com/email/] before the __________ deadline. Winner will be chosen using random.org and notified via email.”
- We’ll publish your banner for 7 to 21 days*, at the end of which we will choose a winner and notify them via email. Once we’ve made contact with our chosen winner, we’ll send you their mailing address to which you will send the free product within 7 business days.
- 7 day trade for products with a retail value between $10 and $15
- 14 day trade for products with a retail value between $16 and $35
- 21 day trade for products with retail value over $36
Regardless of the retail value of your product giveaway, you can always opt for a shorter term.
